Children & Young People @ ST ANDREW’S

Children and Young People are welcomed as important and valued members of our St Andrew’s church community.  They are both welcome at our services and also take part in our worship as readers, through drama & music and more recently as enthusiastic puppeteers during our All-age Worship!

(See P@STA for more information about our St Andrew’s puppets)

The first Sunday in the month at 11am is All-age Worship and on the other Sundays there is Discoverers for children aged 3 to 10 and Pathfinders for the 11-14s who go across to the Village Hall after the first part of the service in church, returning at the end.  For smaller children there is a crèche just off the main worship area where carers can take the under 3s if they wish, and where the service is relayed so that they don’t miss out.

During the week, the under 5s meet with their carers at Scramblers on Monday afternoons between 2 and 3pm.  Giving a chance for mums and other carers just to meet up with others whilst the children and babies play, there is also a story time & songs.

On Mondays as well, primary aged children meet at 3.30 to 5pm for Razmatazz Children’s Club. During the holidays there are often Holiday Clubs (such as the recent Showstoppers) or other special events for children – watch out for the next!

The Youth Group for 14-18s meet on Sunday evenings and there is a bi-monthly Youth Service which is always popular (and not just with the young people!)
